CONNECTION represents a concrete example of how architecture facilitates conditions for coexistence among individuals in space, integrating art languages into interior architecture. This work has found its perfect location at St. George’s Anglican Church in Venice, a collective space open to artistic expressions, conceived as an interior design intervention with panels made of tobacco leaves that create a dynamic and lively environment.
The Ministry of Culture of the Dominican Republic has selected the project CONNECTION by artist architect LiLeón (Lidia León Cabral) and art critic Roberta Semeraro to represent the Dominican Republic pavilion at the 17th International Architecture Exhibition of the Venice Biennale. The pavilion is organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Dominican Republic, the LiLeón Foundation, and the RO.SA.M. Cultural Association, and is sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic and the Embassy of the Dominican Republic in Italy, with support from Banco BHD León.
