Conexión RD

CONEXIÓN, an interior architecture project created by LiLeón for St. George’s Anglican Church, uses tobacco leaf panels to create a dynamic and living space where visitors can recognize the infinite web of relationships that form the foundation of the social fabric, connecting with nature.

The Dominican Republic Pavilion at the 17th International Architecture Biennale in Venice features the project “CONEXIÓN” by architect artist LiLeón (Lidia León Cabral) and art critic Roberta Semeraro. This installation, located in St. George’s Anglican Church, integrates art into interior architecture through panels made of tobacco leaves that evoke traditional stained glass. “CONEXIÓN” invites visitors to reflect on coexistence in collective spaces as common goods that must be respected and preserved for future generations, transforming the pavilion into a dynamic and living space that connects nature and culture.
