The Conexión project, from a sharp, integrative, and inclusive female perspective, provides a humanistic vision focused on collective well-being, revealing an ethic of coexistence. With this, it aims for the Dominican Republic to reflect on its fragmented reality, on how social distancing has led to a lack of understanding of others, and consequently, a lack of self-knowledge.
There are evocative cities of which one has an idea even without having been there. It is common to have an image of New York, Paris, or Venice. The latter is perhaps one of the cities that most captivates the imagination of Westerners. Venice possesses a location, a morphology, and a unique history that has inspired writers and artists alike. For architects, Venice has been a center of theory from early in the canonical history of the profession, spanning from the Renaissance, when it was already a major art center, to postmodernity. As both a center of architectural theory and a center of art, Venice has hosted the Esposizione internazionale d’arte di Venezia since 1895, which biennially becomes one of the most important art exhibitions worldwide.
